Cacidi AdBuilder Server CC Manual

The Workflow

The typical workflow of using Cacidi Extreme Enterprise Server with Adobe InDesign Server would consist of the following users with appropriate user levels attached to the server:
Server Administrator: The Server Administrator has access to the server on a file and folder level and can administer the Cacidi Extreme Enterprise server and the Adobe InDesign Server application.
SystemAdmin: The SystemAdmin user (as default the RA / RA user) has access to the whole site. This user should create the various top-level Client Groups along with Administrator Users for each client group.
Administrator Users: These users with Admin User privileges are created for each client group on the system. These users should create additional sub-groups to their respective client groups as well as normal users for the system (Graphical designers, page designers, standard users etc).
Graphical Designers: Graphical designers create the various Item Designs within Adobe InDesign using Cacidi Extreme . These Item Designs are then published to the client group the designer has access to based on the design.
Page Designers: Page Designers log into a client group with access to create Job Templates by building jobs based on the published Item Designs assembling pages and defining the page grid.
Text Editors: Users with access to the SQL part of the site can be allowed to edit the text for the stock data base, specify prices, special offers etc.
Image base users: Users with access to the Image base can upload images to accompany the stock data base, linking each image with a certain good from the data base
Standard Users: These users are often allowed to create single or multiple pages from the Job Templates predesigned for them with the text and images already prepared by the Text Editors and Image base users.
Of course, many of the above user levels can be merged together to allow for one or more user to perform a varity of tasks on the Cacidi Dynamic web server.
