The Image Base

A user logged into Cacidi Dynamic Web with the right privileges will have access to the Image Base part from the menu bar.
The Image Base offers a varity of different views depending on you zoom-level. To zoom in or out in the view, click on the plus or minus button in the top-left corner.
When zooming all out the images available will be presented in a list view providing additional details for each image.

The folder structure
The Image Base can contain numerous folders and folders within folders to allow for a complex folder structure wherein images can be uploaded and accessed for data editing.
Folders within the current folder are located as links in the left-side panel and folders above the current folder are listed as links above the images
Clicking on any folder link will take you to the selected folder to view its contents.

Creating a new folder
If you wish to categorize your pictures into subfolders, you can choose to make a new folder Depending on the userlevel, a user might have access to create a new folder in the Image Base. Clicking this button will show the edit field for entering a name for the new folder:
A new folder will be created in the current folder and will appear as a link in the left-hand panel.

Going up a level
Clicking this button will take you up a folder level to the folder directly above the current.

Going home
Clicking this button will take you to the top or root level of the Image Base in the current Client group.

Uploading an image
Depending on the userlevel, a user might have access to upload new images to the Image Base. Clicking this button will take you to the Upload window where you can browse for an image from your local machine or connected server to upload into the Image Base.
Standard formats, such as .tif, .jpg, .psd, .eps, .doc, .xls etc. will be accepted by the Image Base.

Deleting an image
With the list-view of the Image Base (zoomed all out) the delete image button will appear depending on the user level. Clicking this button will ask you whether you want to delete the image. Click OK to delete the image.

Downloading an image
Again in the list-view and depending on the user level, a user can download an image localy by clicking the download button.

Searching for an image
To use the search function, simply type your query into the search field in the top right corner and press enter. This will search through both image names and XMP data of the images and will present any matches in the Image Base.
